These are three star serviced apartments on Mombasa Road beside Nextgen Mall, south of the centre with kitchens and a pool. What decides it is your car: this is Greater Nairobi, not the Central Business District, and nobody walks the last stretch.
01What it is
The Curve by the Park Apartments is a three star apartment property on Mombasa Road, next to Nextgen Mall near the Southern Bypass. The listed facilities are the ones a self catering stay needs: a kitchen with oven, microwave, refrigerator and washing machine, a bathroom with shower, WC, toiletries and towels, plus air conditioning, a desk, TV, iron and board, lifts and non smoking rooms. There is an outdoor pool. The list is thin in the ways apartment listings usually are: no restaurant, no bar, no gym, no airport transfer, nothing about parking or security. The property supplies the rooms and the pool, and you supply the rest.
For someone staying here, that means a working base rather than a hotel with services. If you are in Nairobi for weeks rather than nights, or moving between the city and the industrial and logistics land along Mombasa Road, The Curve by the Park Apartments covers the practical side: you cook, you wash, you sleep in air conditioning, you swim if the day allows. If you want the Central Business District on foot, or a bar downstairs, or a doorman who calls you a cab, this is the wrong address. The verdict is simple: suit yourself to a car and a longer stay, and it works.

04Standing outside the ten quarters
These hotels are not in the centre. They sit well outside it, in the inner suburbs, past the ten quarters this site covers. The nearest of those quarters, for orientation only, is The Railway Quarter, on the southern edge of the grid, and that is as close as the connection goes. You are in the wider city here. Anything in the CBD means travelling in and out, so plan the day around that rather than around a short step from your room.
The Railway Quarter itself is wide industrial land, sheds, and the reason any of this is here, the museum, and understanding the city's whole layout in one afternoon. Nairobi exists because the Uganda Railway stopped here in 1899 to gather strength for the Rift; the 1929 station, the old yards and the museum of locomotives sit on the CBD's southern boundary, ten minutes below Kenyatta Avenue. After dark it is industrial and unlit in stretches, so keep it to daylight and a car back.

Book The Curve by the Park Apartments if your plan is a car and a stay of more than a night or two, and check availability against your dates through the link. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
Facts on this page come from the booking supplier's record: star class, address, photographs and facility list. Guest scores come from verified stays. Nobody from this site has stayed here; the quarter copy around it is this site's own.
06Questions
