01What this mailbox answers

Anything about the pages themselves. Ten quarter pages, the guides, the journal and the things-to-do list are all written here and all carry a block naming where their specifics came from, so a claim that has gone stale can be traced and replaced rather than argued about. Corrections are the most useful thing anyone sends.

Questions about method are welcome too. Every distance on this site is a direct line computed from published coordinates, every count only ever counts this site's own pages, and no page here claims that anybody stood on a corner with a stopwatch. If a page reads as though it does, that is a defect and worth reporting.

02What it cannot do

It cannot touch a reservation. Searching from any page on this site hands you to IMPT, the booking partner, and everything from the confirmation onwards happens there: dates, rooms, cancellation, payment and the invoice. Nobody here can see a booking, change one or cancel one, and a message about one only loses you time.

It also cannot quote a rate. There is no price anywhere on this site by design: a nightly figure is out of date before a page is published, and live availability belongs to the partner.

Can you book a hotel or a room for me?+

No. This site writes the pages and ranks the ten areas of the district. A booking, a payment, a change or a cancellation belongs to IMPT, whose booking flow the site links to. Use the booking route rather than this mailbox.

Can you send me prices or opening hours?+

The site prints no prices, and it does not print opening hours because they are set by the operator and move. Live availability and current pricing belong to the booking partner and to the operator. Check with the operator, or ask what to confirm at the desk.

I think a page is wrong. What do I do?+

Send the page and the sentence, with where your version comes from. Every page names where its specifics came from, so a correction can be checked against that. A correction is made on the page rather than answered privately.

Do you cover the suburbs or the wider county?+

No. The site covers one place: the Central Business District, the commercial and historic core between Uhuru Highway, the railway and Ngara. It compares the ten areas of the district on distance from Kenyatta Avenue at Moi Avenue, what is open in the evening, and how each street reads after dark.
