3-star hotels in Kisii
A shortlist of the 3-star hotels in Kisii, the county seat of Kisii County in Kenya's southwest highlands. It is for travellers who want a mid-range base in town, whether for a road trip from Nairobi or a visit to the soapstone carvers of nearby Tabaka.
Staying in Kisii
Kisii sits in the southwest highlands of Kenya and is the administrative centre of Kisii County, about 240 km west of Nairobi in a straight line. Travellers come here for the town itself and for the nearby settlement of Tabaka, known for soapstone carving. The hotels on this list are spread along the roads that converge on the town: Nyankongo Masosa Rd, Hospital Road, Nyamira Highway, the Kisii Migori road and its junction, the Rongo road and the Kisumu road. Several addresses place their hotels on Hospital Road or the Kisumu road, which puts them on the town's main approaches.
The list suits couples and short-break visitors looking for a straightforward 3-star stay, business travellers who need to be near the county administration, and families passing through on the road from Nairobi. Guest ratings run from 3.6 to 4.7 out of 5, with the largest review counts at Ufanisi Resort, Hotel Dans, Laserena Hotel Kisii and Magharibi Garden Hotel.
